Trust and safety

What JengaLink checks, what it records, and what it does not do.

Clients connect with trusted, qualified experts verified by JengaLink.

Verified means the submitted credential or trading licence was reviewed. It is not a guarantee of workmanship, price, or reliability.

JengaLink does not hold your money. The record shows what you approved and the payment reference you entered. It is not a guarantee that the work will be done, and JengaLink cannot recover money already paid.

Built with trust

Before you pay

Stage records, not money held by JengaLink

JengaLink introduces you to verified people and keeps the written quotes and the payment record. JengaLink does not hold your money, and it does not own the quarries, shops, or trucks.

Pay only the stage you approve

On a protected build, you pay the professional directly by M-Pesa. A stage stays blocked until the professional marks it ready, you accept an itemized labour quote, and you confirm that you inspected the stage. Only then do you record the payment reference. A dispute blocks that payment. Star scores, written comments, and photos from finished jobs show as soon as the client sends them. JengaLink does not charge a fee and does not hold the money.

No payment before inspection

On a protected build, a stage stays blocked until the professional marks it ready, you accept a written labour quote, and you confirm that you inspected the stage. A retention stage has to stay unpaid until the other stages are finished. No other stage can be paid while a problem is open.

This check applies to projects that use stage records. A quick repair can use a simpler process.

Small jobs stay simple

A quick repair can stay a conversation. Itemized quotes, retention, and delivery checks are there when the job needs them, and you can install the site on your phone.

Delivery, stock, and counting the goods

Count the delivery before you pay

Every materials quote includes delivery and offloading, even when that cost is zero because you will collect the goods. The supplier has to confirm the goods are still in stock before the quote can be accepted. Pay only after you count the items at the site.

Can I compare prices for materials and hired machines?

Selected suppliers send a written quote for the materials or hired machines you need, including delivery and offloading. You see the lowest total first, then follow the delivery through preparing, on the way, and delivered. Pay only after you count the goods. A quote is the supplier's written price, not a live stock count.

NCA numbers and county approvals

NCA registration depends on the role and the work. Confirm the current requirement on the National Construction Authority register before you rely on a number. County building approval is issued by the county, not by JengaLink.

Check the NCA register before major work

A main contractor, mason, or structural engineer cannot join a house, commercial build, or renovation until an NCA number is on that profile. A stage cannot be paid while that number is missing. Open the National Construction Authority register and check the number yourself.

Check it on the NCA register

Permits stay with the county

On a new house or commercial build, stage payments stay blocked until you save the county approval reference. You still collect that reference from the county. JengaLink does not submit the application.

Does JengaLink issue licences or building approvals?

No. JengaLink does not issue professional licences or county building approvals. Clients should verify applicable contractor registrations, professional credentials, electrical contractor licensing, and project registration requirements through the relevant official registers and authorities. County building approvals must be obtained through the appropriate county process. JengaLink does not submit these applications on your behalf.
